Central Electric Power Cooperative has an opening for an Electrical Engineering Intern.  Individuals interested in this position must be currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering program.  Preference will be given to individuals with a focus on power engineering.


The responsibilities of this position include assisting with the planning of utility distribution and transmission systems. Supervision will be provided by experienced electrical engineers and will allow the successful candidate to gain valuable experience in a professional environment.


Individuals may be required to work in the field on occasion.  Interested applicants must be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate clearly and accurately.  Additional requirements include a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a physical exam and drug screen.


Central Electric Power Cooperative is a Generation and Transmission Cooperative located in Jefferson City, Missouri, and is responsible for providing electric transmission service and wholesale power for eight member electric cooperatives in the central Missouri area.  Central owns and operates more than 100 substations and 1,700 miles of high voltage (345kV, 161kV and 69kV) transmission lines in a 27 county area.
